A citizens Meeting was jointly organized at State Capital, Bhubaneswar on 15th September in association with Humanist Rationalist Organization, Bhubaneswar on the issues of ‘Role of Citizens on Kashmir and Economic Recession’ where around 50 number of intellectual, educationist and social activist gathered and participated in the debate.

 After the introductory speech by Narendra Mohanty, the Secretary of Campaign for Peace, Kandhamal the meeting was presided by Md. Abdul Sukur, an eminent rationalist and President of the organisation.

 Prof. Birendra Nayak (Retd.), Department of Mathematics, Utkal University, Mr.Radhakanta Sethi, State Convener of All India People’s Forum were deliver their speech as the Main Speaker and Guest Speaker.

 Among others Prof Dhaneswar Sahu, President of HRO, Odisha and Engineer Raja Sursh, General Secretary, HRO, Odisha also spoke on the occasion.

All the speakers condemned the curtail of democratic rights of the people and described the abrogation of Section-370 as undemocratic and restrictions on Kashmir people will hamper the peace and harmony in the valley as well as such type of repression on the self-dignity of people will create more violence.



On the occasion of World Peace Day (21st September) meeting and cultural programme was organized at Kotagarh, Kandhamal. Including the students the concerned citizens of riot affected Kandhamal people participated and enjoyed various activities on such occasion.

The World Peace Day was organized at Grace Girl’s Hostel Campus at Kotagada, Kandhamal by the joint initiative of Peace Project of B.I.C Church along with Campaign for Peace, Kandhamal on 21st September, 2019.

After the welcome address by Karunakar Bisimajhi, the Vice-Chair Person of Kotagarg Block Mr Roman Panthul inaugurated the programme by lightening the candle. Guests and speakers like Dr Bijay Kumar Roul- Bishop (Chief Guest), Mr.Narendra Mohanty-Secretary Campaign for Peace (Main Speaker), Dr Ashok Samal, Medical Officer, Kotagarg, Mrs Bibinika Digal (Social Activist), Mr Benjamin Nanda, Mr Pradip Pal, Mr Jirimiya Sunamajhi (Organiser, Campaign for Peace), Mr Binod Ghadei- President, Peace Committee spoke on the occasion. The boarders of the hostel perform various cultural activities and sang patriotic songs on the occasion.

The guest and speakers recalled the violent situation during the communal violence in 2007-08 and appealed the audience to maintain the peace and harmony for the betterment of society and for the human civilization.



A two days Youth Leadership Training Camp was organized at Baliguda on 21st and 22nd September, 2019 where youth and women from different communities attended. The resource person including the Secretary of the Peace Campaign discussed about the diversities of our culture and the participants decided to accelerate the campaign to protect and promote diversities among the communities and to work for peace and harmony.
