MASS PROTEST AGAINST ATTACK ON UNNAU RAPE VICTIM, MOB LYNCHING AND AMMENDMENT OF RTI & UAPA
On 4th August, 2019, a Mass Protest against the conspiracy to kill Unnau Rape Victim, Mob lynching as well as amendment to dilute RTI, amendment of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act to declare any person as terrorist and snatching of forest right through misuse of judiciary has been organized by the joint action and committee of democratic and human right organisations.
SOLIDARITY & STAND WITH KASHMIR
After the undemocratic and arbitrarily abrogation/amendment of Article-370, target, attack and hate campaigns against Kashmiries a Mass Protest as namely ‘Stand With Kashmir’ was organized at State Headquarter on 7th August, where we along with other left and democratic forces was assembled.
OBSERVATION OF QUIT INDIA DAY/INDIGENOUS PEOPLE’S DAY AS ‘CULTURAL DIVERSITY & PEACE’
On the eve of Indigenous People’s Day/Quit India Day a meeting with the students was organized at SSAB College at Kotagada, Kandhamal on 9th August,
2019. Including the Principal of the college Mr. Manoranjan Jena, the Lectures of the college like Mr Sanatan Dalai, Arnapurna Das and among the students Mr. Jyotiranjan discussed about the relevance of Indigenous People’s Day/Quit India Day. On behalf of Campaign for Peace, Kandhamal, Mr. Jirimiya Sunamajhi shared the objectives of Peace Campaign as well as to observe such importance days.
YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Two days ‘Youth Leadership Workshop’ was organized on 25th and 26th August at Daringbadi, where youths from different communities attended. The resource person including the Secretary of the Peace Campaign discussed about the diversities of our culture and the participants decided to accelerate the campaign to protect and promote diversities among the communities and to work for peace and harmony.
