REGIONAL MEETING ON PEACE & CULTURAL DIVERSITIES:
A regional meeting was organized at Kiramaha Village under Daringbadi Block of Kandhamal District where both male and female from various sections of different villages were participated.
Along with the Mr Narendra Mohanty, the Secretary of Campaign for Peace, Mr. Balabhadra Mallick, Mr Bijay Swain, Jirimiya Sunamajhi, Mr Ashok Singh, Journalist, Mrs Suneli Majhi were shared their views about the existing diversities among the various communities and call the audiences to maintain such diversities for peace and harmony.
They discussed about the diversities which has protected by the Constitution is the life line of our diverse culture. So it is the responsibilities of all to protect and promote such diversities towards building of a peaceful and harmonious society.
TWO DAYS REGIONAL WORKSHOP/MEETING OF YOUTHS & COMMUNITY LEADERS:
Taking various issues faced by the community people as well as to discuss about peace and harmony two days regional Workshop/ Meeting(17th -18th July 2019) for youths and community leaders was organized at Bamunigam Rajiv Gandhi Sevakendra where leaders as village level representatives were attended. Including me Mr. Chakradhar Mallick, Mr. Bijay Swain and Balabhadra Mallick were joined as resource persons.
When the issues like forest and land rights, education and health services, implementation of various welfare schemes was in the prime agenda of the meeting, the unity among all cross sections, gender equality, building peace and harmony was additional agenda for the meeting, which was discussed by the resource persons as well as participants. Due to rainy season as well as cultivation work more women couldn’t participate in the workshop.
WELCOME BANNER DISPLAYED AT EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS:
As per planning we have distributed Welcome Banner with welcome quotation/message for all students for the Education Year-2019 in major educational institutions on behalf of Peace Centre and requested them to paste the banner in their respective institution. As per the space available in the institution they pasted the banner within their campus.
VILLAGE LEVEL MEETINGS:
Besides the regional meeting and training we organized village level meetings in three villages (Nuagam, Haraguda and Gudikia) and discussed about the objective of Peace Centre as well as various issues faced by the common public.
Documentary Film ‘Sandesh’ and ‘Ramke Nam Par’ was screened at Haraguda and Dahu village during the period.
