We are pleased to announce that Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer Best Published Paper Award 2021-2022 is awarded to Mr. Avishek Jha, a doctoral candidate at the University of Melbourne and an Independent Researcher for his paper titled ‘Expanding the Vote Base in Uttar Pradesh: Understanding the RSS-BJP Combined Mobilization Strategies’, published online by South Asia Multidisciplinary Academic Journal on 23 March 2021. The eminent jury went through several papers before deciding on the best paper.
The award carries a cash prize of INR 25,000 and a Memento.
The Award was instituted in honour of Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer (1939-2013), a renowned Islamic scholar and activist and the founding Chairperson of the Centre for Study of Society and Secularism.
