We are delighted to announce that Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer Best Published Paper Award 2022-2023 is awarded to Prof. Jharna Pathak, Assistant Professor, Gujarat Institute of Development Research and Secretary, Ahmedabad Women’s Action Group for her paper titled “Educational and Curricular Restructuring: Neo-Conservative Agendas in Gujarat” Published in Social Scientist, Vol. 50, No. 9/10 (592-593) (September–October 2022). The eminent jury went through several papers before deciding on the best paper.
The award carries a cash prize of INR 25,000.
The Award was instituted in honour of Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer (1939-2013), a renowned Islamic scholar and activist and the founding Chairperson of the Centre for Study of Society and Secularism.
