Centre for Study of Society and Secularism
The Centre for the Study of Society and Secularism is a civil society organization located in Mumbai, India. Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer and several other prominent peace activists founded the Centre on the heels of the 1993 Mumbai riots with the dual goals of promoting peace and harmony. Currently, the Centre organizes academic and cultural events, publishes a quarterly journal and a fortnightly magazine, and supports independently run Peace Centres working with communities.
