2nd Dr.Asghar Ali Engineer Memorial Lecture titled “Meaning, Metaphor and Martyrdom in Colonial India” was delivered by by Prof. Mushirul Hasan, former Vice-chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University on 14th May 2014 at India International Centre, New Delhi. Mr. Vinod Mehta, Editorial Chairman of the Outlook was chaired the programme.
